Inner peace isnโ€™t just something we achieve and then we are finished. I am sure you’ve heard, ๐“ฒ๐“ฝ’๐“ผ ๐“ช๐“ซ๐“ธ๐“พ๐“ฝ ๐“ฝ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ณ๐“ธ๐“พ๐“ป๐“ท๐“ฎ๐”‚, ๐“ท๐“ธ๐“ฝ ๐“ฝ๐“ฑ๐“ฎ ๐“ญ๐“ฎ๐“ผ๐“ฝ๐“ฒ๐“ท๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ฒ๐“ธ๐“ท.

 

 

Inner peace is something that we constantly work towards. Throughout our lives, many opportunities will arise that TEST our inner peace. It can range from illness, death, political conflict, racism, etc.

ย 

 

There will always be polarity in this world. Inner peace is an inner- state that you reach when you choose peace over ๐•š๐•๐•๐•ฆ๐•ค๐•š๐• ๐•Ÿ. It is a place within where you are calm and at ease.

ย 

 

Things may hurt or feel difficult, but when you have inner peace, you will be able to calmly observe your emotions without uncontrollably reacting to the outer chaos.

ย 

 

Furthermore, you will be able to notice the value even in the most difficult experiences.

ย 

 

For example, before I became aware that ๐ˆ ๐€๐Œ ๐๐Ž๐“ ๐Œ๐˜ ๐“๐‡๐Ž๐”๐†๐‡๐“๐’- my emotions were running the show.

ย 

 

I always said that if one of my beloved animals died, I would close my heart. I would not talk to anyone. I would put up a wall and I would run away from the pain.

ย 

 

I am incredibly grateful for my ๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’…๐’‡๐’–๐’๐’๐’†๐’”๐’” ๐’‘๐’“๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’„๐’†๐’” because a few weeks ago, my sweet old kitty made his transition.

ย 

 

My heart physically hurt and I grieved, but it was so beautiful. It was so liberating to ๐—™๐—˜๐—˜๐—Ÿ those emotions and BE WITH THEM. I cried for a few days. I took my time and allowed myself to really feel that pain and then it was gone.

ย 

 

Some situations are ongoing and will need to be met differently, such as the systematic racism that we are currently facing. But even though there is massive injustice happening globally, if we want to feel inner peace, we must notice the opportunity in each experience.

ย 

 

Things donโ€™t have to hurt. When we choose to see the value in the experience is when our lives really begin to CHANGE.

ย 

 

“How can you say this? This is white privilege” – My response to you is: I acknowledge my privilege as a blonde-haired white woman, but that doesn’t mean this doesn’t still apply to everyone. We operate at a higher level when we are at peace, so If we want change, we must first seek change within.

ย 

 

We can do this in every situation. There will be things that feel like they hurt, but if we sit with them and try to understand them in the moment, we can sit them down and move forward.

ย 

 

When we DONโ€™T acknowledge our pain or grief and choose to sweep it under the rug, itโ€™s like putting a band-aidย on a broken bone. We need to reset the bone, so-to-speak, and possibly even wear a cast for a few months.

ย 

 

Inner peace is obtained when we face hard things rather than cowering away from them. This doesn’t mean that we have to find challenges to go through to make us stronger- life will provide you with every single experience that you need to fulfill your mission in this life.

ย 

 

 

We must listen to our bodies and sit with our emotions. When we avoid the emotions that we judge as “bad” we are Spiritually Bypassing. Lean into the darkness and we will find peace.

ย

Collective Energy Shift

Have you been feeling the collective energy shifts?ย 

 

Avoiding world issues seems to no longer be an option, which is great!ย  People are being forced to get uncomfortable and deal with ancient conditioning. Hello, change!ย 

As COVID forced us into our homes, we had the chance to go internal. If your experience was anything like mine- a lot of shit came up. Donโ€™t forget, shit coming up is a GOOD thing!ย 

 

Triggers arise to show us areas that we need to heal.ย 

 

As COVID asked us to go inward, we had more time than ever to explore WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE WANT. (If you didnโ€™t take the time to do that, nowโ€™s your chance to get started.)

 

Now, as the world protests the murder of Geoge Floyd, we are asked to look inward again as we acknowledge what privilege means to us.ย 

 

It can be challenging to remember what is important to us if we arenโ€™t clear on what we stand for. This week (and every week) I encourage you to do a meditation followed by reflection. In your reflection, ask yourself โ€œWhat do I stand for?โ€

Do you want change? Do you want peace? Better communication? Love? Money? A bigger house? A new government? Answers? A new job? What does your SOUL want RIGHT NOW?

 

You can ask your higher self to guide you to the answers that you need.ย 

 

I strongly encourage you to be extremely mindful of where your attention is right now. There have been multiple nights where I was up past my bedtime scrolling Facebook as my blood boiled. I wasnโ€™t serving anyone by doing that. How can you make a difference right now while also putting self-care first?

 

It is healthy to put our needs first.

 

If you are feeling called to take action, do it from inspiration, not fear.ย 

This week, what do you want? How can you take inspired action to move towards it? How can you make the process enjoyable?ย

Inner Peace Comes From Discipline and Training.

Good news for us Westerners, we love taking action! Except, this isn’t the kind of action you are probably thinking. When we think of “action” we think more of a strong movement in a forward direction towards a specific desired outcome. The type of action I am speaking of is a lot more challenging for us. Slowing down is the action that leads us to the internal bliss that we are seeking.

In the past, the Western Hemisphere hasnโ€™t exactly set us up for success when it comes to internal peace. It’s totally possible now and becoming easier and easier, but we have to create some strong habits and boundaries. If you are in the Western world with me, you know that we have been conditioned to GO GO GO and DO DO DO. We have been taught to be achievement-based, which is fun! We are here to evolve and expand, but many people seem to be forgetting a really important piece of this puzzle.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience

Not the other way around. Our spirit/soul incarnated into a human body. When we transition into our next form (die), our spirit will leave the human body, and we will be free-roaming energy. We are the awareness of the experience. The watcher of the thoughts. Not the thinker. When we become conscious that we are not our thoughts, we can become free of stress, anxiety, worry, and fear.

ย 

Our soul needs discipline in order to reach heightened states of performance and fulfillment.

You might have resistance to discipline if you have inner conflict about your current standards.ย  This happens when something within you knows that you are capable of more but you are resisting it because you feel safe where you are. The unknown is scary. Inner peace requires training in areas likeย breath-work, meditation, and yoga.ย There will only be resistance if these habits are new and need to be built.

ย 

When we are children, our parents, teachers, and community leaders set the โ€œstandardโ€.

Sometimes the example that we witnessed was not congruent with what we needed, but that is what we saw, and so we adopted it as our own.

Now, you are an adult and you are free to make the decision to recreate your personal standard. You need to adjust your internal thermostat to the temperature that you DESIRE in each area of your life.

Are you living up to your potential in each area? Are you holding on to a story that is holding you from stepping into the next level?

Managing Your Anxiety In Uncertain Times

 

Here are some of the ways that I am keeping my vibration high and the fear at bay during this worldwide transition phase. Also, as we welcome the pollen. (I have a stuffy nose & have presumed I am dying at least 10 times already. Ha.)

As a lightworker, it is a crucial time for us to be conscious of everything that is affecting our energy. This means getting really good at being mindful of yourself and everything that is happening in your body. What is happening when you begin to feel anxious?ย 

We have to maintain our former rituals and routines AS WELL AS create newly updated rituals as the universe shifts and transitions into a new reality.

#1 Have The Courage To Trust Your Inner Knowing

You are a divine creature. There is nothing more powerful than the GOD CONSCIOUSNESS within you. You have source energy within. Tap into this wise inner-knowing and trust what is coming through!

#2 Have Compassion When Fear Creeps Inย 

Your fear or anyone elseโ€™s- including your animals. We are all shedding different layers of our egos. Help your people out when the fear is creeping in and allow them to do the same for you. Show compassion and empathy when you or someone else is feeling scared. All low vibrations stem from fear.ย 

#3 Accept The New Realityย 

There is only the present moment. This is all happening at one time. There is only NOW. This is the only reality that you need to know. Release attachment to the way things โ€œshould beโ€ and begin exploring how sweet it is in the present moment. There is MUCH less to worry about.ย 

 

#4 Meditating Moreย 

Stop making excuses. You canโ€™t skip this step on the journey to happiness. Grounding and happiness come from knowing thyself. You must go internal and silence the noise in order to calm your body and get to know yourself.ย 

We meditate before there is a difficult situation in order to create a pocket of peace for us to return to throughout the day. Remember how good you feel when you finish meditating. This will keep you coming back.ย 

 

#5 Taking Social Media Detoxโ€™sย 

Social media has a tendency to make us feel like we are not worthy enough. We see these glimpses into other peopleโ€™s lives and think that their lives look like that all the time. We canโ€™t look like that all of the time, so we begin developing these little fears of inadequacy. Spend time in nature and away from the screen.ย 

 

#6 Journal and Reflect

Explore the information that you are consuming. Explore the experiences that you had throughout your day and what they meant to you. Did you meet the mark? Did you get distracted and procrastinate? Did you beat yourself up about it?

Reflect on the all of the experiences without judgment.ย 

 

#7 Set Clear Intentionsย 

You canโ€™t have what you wonโ€™t ask for. Be clear on what you want and vocalize it as often as you can. If you intend to meditate more, tell someone that will hold you accountable. Write it down and affirm to yourself and the universe that you are going to make it happen.ย 

Be clear about your intentions in each segment of your life. When you wake up and begin your morning routine, set an intention. And again when you begin moving into your workload, set a clear intention.

 

#8 Listen Deeply

As a lightworker, we want to do things to empower and raise the vibrations of others (when we are on full ourselves). Donโ€™t engage in drama. Simply hold space by not saying too much. Ask more questions and stop sharing your experience to connect. It is a self-defense mechanism when you try to find any way to connect so that the person will like you. Release the need for them liking you. They will likely enjoy you more because you feel more authentic.

#9 Creating Inspired Content/Artย 

Follow your highest inspiration in each moment. What lights you up? Get out of your own way and start creating. Donโ€™t worry about the outcome. Focus on enjoying the process.

#10 Tea Ceremonies As A Defense

I have acquired a taste for tea. Now I love to have tea ceremonies. I light a candle, play some binaural beats, and sip my hot tea. This gives me a mindless task to engage in while I allow my mind to settle down. I am also washing any potential threat in my throat down with the warm liquid.ย 

#11 Yoga and Movement

I love yoga because it is challenging for me. I am easily triggered by certain positions to the point that it takes my mind away from all of my worries. When I finish my yoga practice, I realize how calm, centered, and balanced I am.ย 

Connect to your breath through movement. Itโ€™s not just a trending fad, it is a practice that leads to fulfillment and joy.

4 Steps To Heart-Centered Leadership

4 steps to Heart-centered leadershipย 

 

In this blog, I am going to share the four steps I took to go from an unconscious and angry addict to a heart-centered leader.

 

#1 The first milestone was the burning desire for change.ย 

Life started pretty rough for me. I was sexually molested from age 3-11 . From this trauma, I developed extreme anger, fear of intimacy, and codependency. After enlisting in the Military, I also developed a painful addiction to drugs and alcohol.ย 

 

I hit rock bottom when I came home to a rat-infested house in the ghetto that had just been broken into and robbed, to receive a SNAP CHAT that said: โ€œCarlos is deadโ€.

 

After an immense amount of suffering, this snap chat was the final straw. I had a shift in consciousness. I knew that this wasnโ€™t all there was to life, and I was meant for more.ย 

 

It was like I could finally see the world for what it truly was. There was life in everything.ย 

 

I wanted more but I had no funking clue where to start.ย 

 

Which brings me to milestone 2.ย 

Learning how to shift.ย 

 

I had to own the fact that I had no idea what I was doing. I was sure good at acting like I knew what I was doing, which was funking great because as it turns out: if youโ€™re acting like youโ€™re doing itโ€ฆโ€ฆ.. YOUโ€™RE ACTUALLY DOING IT!ย 

 

I started going really fast in many directions. I failed about ten business launches. From selling on amazon to fitness training. Ziali yoga was a bust considering I knew nothing about yoga.ย 

 

I was headed in the right DIRECTIONS, but I needed clarity on what I actually wanted. I finally decided to commit to something. I knew I wanted to teach. I have always wanted to be a teacher. (And a marine biologist, and a lawyer, and a journalist, and a unicorn trainer as my father would say.)

 

It was his dream for me to settle down with a rich doctor and become a nurse. The universe and my free-will having ass had other plans.ย 

 

This walks me right into the third major milestone in my journey:ย 

Awakening to personal truth and vision.ย 

 

With this new clarity, all I knew was that I had a lot of work to do. I was seeking refuge at this point. I needed ANYONE to care about me (including myself).ย 

 

When I was in the army, I found meditation and loved it. I googled Buddhism in KC and found temple Buddhist center on the plaza, which I now call my home and center for spiritual nourishment.ย 

 

I kept going each week despite how uncomfortable it made me.ย 

 

One morning, a beautiful and delicate older woman named Macha said to me: โ€œGood morning Whitneyโ€ (I have told this story a million times over, and still get tears in my eyes typing about this amazing memory. Macha is an angel.)

 

That was it. That was all it took for me to decide that I was going to get everything together. I wouldnโ€™t drink or do drugs anymore.ย 

 

I had a few slip-ups after that, but each time it wasnโ€™t like โ€œWHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING!?โ€

 

I had compassion. I just kept building momentum in mindfulness. I told myself that it was okay that I made a mistake, but I wasnโ€™t going to go easy on myself if I was tempted to do it again.ย 

 

I removed all temptations. I committed to doing shadow work.ย 

 

I had a huge fear of my masculine energy because I have hurt so many people in my past when I was in a toxic, unconscious, masculine energy.ย 

 

I am still doing the work. I am still learning to love my intensity. Now, instead of reacting when I feel anger, I just sit with it. I can feel it in my body, and within a matter of seconds, it passes.ย 

 

Meditation and mindfulness is a practice. There is always more to learn and ways to surrender deeper.ย 

 

I declared my personal truth and vision and began deeply embodying all that I saw for myself.ย 

 

I enhanced my energy by releasing all that wasnโ€™t mine.ย 

 

Which brings me right to milestone 4. The final major milestone that I have hit in my journey.ย 

 

Creating my core principles and aligned action plan.ย 

25 years. That is how long I was unconsciously trusting and creating. There were a lot of paradigms that needed to be shattered.ย 

 

There were beliefs that I had and still have that were so ingrained in my mind, that I have to consciously choose to release them every day.ย 

 

I learned to surrender. I created a clear list of values, principles, and commitments to myself and now, I live by this document. I review it each day and I am committed to being the woman that is on that paper.ย 

 

I have been teaching hundreds of leaders like you how to do exactly what I just said. This isnโ€™t rocket science, you just have to be willing to put in the work. I just gave you the steps. You can write those down and pursue them.ย
